Tucked away in the beautiful West Sussex countryside is this incredible barn. Over six hundred years old, the building had previously been updated in parts over the centuries, but has been subject to a comprehensive refurbishment after being striped back to timber frame. It has been lovingly restored from top to bottom into a superb family home and separate cottage.

Combining innovative construction methods including Hempcrete and Limecrete, along with a full smart home and security system, this stands out as leading example of the ability to combine historical fabric with modern living and has been published in several historical magazines.

Successful planning permission and listed building consent with no challenges / changes for a c150 sqm 2-storey assertively contrasting extension adjoining a Grade II building.

Successful planning permission and listed building consent  for solar PV installations on a Grade II listed ancillary building. Believed to be the first example of a residential project with colour-matched tiles in the UK, this is a leading case study in the integration of modern technologies with historic buildings, providing up to 5kw of power to the building.
